The Sandringham College Parents, Teachers and Friends association (PTF) creates opportunities for parents to connect with the Sandringham College community and works across numerous areas to support the College. It also helps to fundraise monies that contribute to student awards, welfare projects and various special needs projects across campuses (such as providing funds to purchase pianos for our music program in 2014). Our online PTF Resource volunteer form can be found at this link if you are interested in volunteering in any capacity.
We are running a series of Block-buster Movie Night Fundraisers at Dendy Palace Theatre. For every ticket sold, $12 goes to Sandringham College PTF Fund to be spent on various college projects. We can book out the entire cinema or just a handful of seats – the movie will go ahead regardless and admittance age/ratings etc are all managed by Dendy Palace Theatre management. The tickets are $23 per adult and $17 child/concession and purchased through trybooking. Our next movie night, on Sunday 18th June is “Despicable Me 3.”
From welcoming parents on their child’s first contact with the College on Open Night and greeting them on their child’s first day at the welcome breakfast, the PTF also runs the
Recycled Uniform Shop, the Literacy Program and assists on extra-curricular activities such as the College Musical , support crew of Great Vic Bike Ride, Comic Club, Gardening and working bees.
Our fundraising target for 2017 is $15,000 to contribute to completion of Major Building Work finishing touches.
Sandringham College PTF is proud to announce that as of 2015 a commitment was made to donate $1,000 per annum per campus to be spent on welfare at each campus. This money is from funds raised by PTF and to be spent as per needs basis by each campus welfare team.
The PTF encourages active parent involvement and interest at all levels within the College.
