Swimming & Athletics Carnivals

All students and staff at Sandringham College represent one of three houses in intra-school swimming competitions, held in term one, and the Athletics competitions held in term two.

These are enormously fun-filled day-long excursions. At these events students and staff dress in their house colours and all students are encouraged to be involved – especially as part of the cheer-squad!

The best performances at these events go on to represent the school at Interschool, State, and National competitions.

House Captains and Vice Captains are elected by their fellow team members.

2016 Swimming Carnival

The Captains and their Vice Captains were able to show their leadership skills at the House Swimming Carnival on the 19th March, they did a wonderful job encouraging students to participate in the various events. It was also great to have the help of the VET Sport and Recreation students in some of the official duties. Nepean won the day. View this link for photographs of the day.

2016 Athletics Carnival Friday 15th July

Mother Nature finally allowed the sun to shine so Sandringham College could hold our Athletics Carnival.  Students from both campuses participated in perfect conditions for track and field events. Staff and students wore their house colours and cheered on the competitors as they took part in the events, hoping that their house would be the overall winner of the day.
