The French study tour to Noumea, the capital of New Caledonia, is a program run at Sandringham College every second year for students studying French at Years 9,10 and 11.
The tour is designed to give students opportunities to practice their French in an authentic French-speaking environment. New Caledonia is a group of islands in the Pacific Ocean and also our closest French- speaking country. It is only a 3 ½ flight from Melbourne, making it the ideal place for our students to develop their ability to communicate in French and to broaden their understanding of other cultures. Sandringham College has been organizing trips to New Caledonia since 2009 and our next trip is planned for July 2017.
An information evening was held on Wednesday 10 August and further information regarding the tour is available from Mrs Barbara Hamilton or Miss Laura Ritchie. Please click here for the power point presentation shown at the information evening.
A deposit of $500 to secure a place on the study tour needs to paid to the Sandringham 7 – 10 office by Friday 16 September.
